Day 8 - Day One of Week 2 - New Food

Today is the first day of week two and I get to eat some fruits and veggies! It is so exciting; it is almost like experiencing food for the first time all over again. This morning with my egg whites I add in a little spinich and mozarella. For lunch I have pork tenderloin and steamed spinich. For an afternoon snack, I have some mixed nuts. Tonight is the most exciting part of the day though...my boyfriend and I are going out to eat dinner. Usually we do something mid-week on Wednesdays, but this week I was trying to get better and we were waiting til I could actually go out to dinner.

I studied my list of approved meals and I found something that really seemed appealing...but bizare...I probably hadn't been to this restaurant in 10 years - Applebee's!! I had the grilled chili lime salad. I will say...it wasn't all I was hoping for; however it was nice to get out of the house. I didn't taste any lime flavoring or much of any chili. I probably could have done a better job making it at home, but hey my boyfriend got to eat man food and I didn't have to cook it.
